New integrated website for Talking Therapies services for Barnet and Enfield
NHS Barnet and Enfield Talking Therapies provide a confidential and free service for anyone who is experiencing problems with their mood, feeling stressed, unhappy and unsatisfied with how their life is going. They offer treatments for anyone who is registered with a GP in Barnet or Enfield.
THE BRIEF:
The new website was built in WordPress, as this was their preferred CMS. Using WordPress meant the client had full control over the website and it’s content, which is something they struggled with before.
The brief included the following:
- New website design that is simple, straightforward and displays information clearly
- A new CMS (WordPress) to allow the client to manage their own content
- Restructured navigation – making the site easier and clearer to navigate
- A simplistic chatbot to allow users to find information quickly and easily
A key aim of the new website was to have better navigation– making it easier and clearer for the user to find the information they are looking for
"THE PROJECT:
An important part of the project was to make all the information on the website easily accessible, as this is all related to mental wellbeing. This meant the sitemap had to be straightforward, and the website also needed a translate option, to be accessible for all users.
The site was built in the latest version of WordPress, which is an open-source CMS based on PHP. Using WordPress allowed for an easy-to-use CMS for the client to make any adjustments to the website content.
We had weekly meetings with the client to discuss and demonstrate the latest areas of development. This allowed the client to provide feedback and talk through any concerns or questions.
THE RESULT:
The website launched on time and the client finds their new website much easier to maintain. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. The website is hosted and supported by Moore-Wilson.
