Womble Bond Dickinson is a transatlantic law firm serving corporate, individual and non-profit clients across eight cities in the UK and 27 cities in the US. The firm is a trusted advisor to high-profile clients, ranging from FTSE 100 businesses, governmental organisations and wealthy, high net worth individuals. The client base is serviced by over 1,000 global operating lawyers. 

THE BRIEF:

A dynamic website for a cross Atlantic firm with region specific capabilities.

Following a merger between US firm Womble Carlisle and the UK's Bond Dickinson, the newly formed Womble Bond Dickinson wanted to create a dynamic new company website that encompassed both the UK and international aspects of the business and associated digital products. The key parts of the project included: 

  • Design, build and delivery of the new company website
  • Drupal 8 CMS platform and database 
  • Site-wide, reusable content features
  • Multilingual settings
  • Responsive design and website features 
  • Search filters within the new site 
  • Infographics and visuals

THE PROJECT:

Womble Bond Dickinson chose Moore-Wilson to undertake the project.

Our specialist team produced a new site that retained a large amount of the useful and still relevant content from the original design, ranging from news and insights to staff profiles, sectors and services. To make it easier for Womble Bond Dickinson to adjust and add content, a reusable content builder was established to create features such as quote blocks, tab sets and accordions to make Womble Bond Dickinson’s pages more attractive when displaying large amounts of information. 

Multilingual features were also created where users could choose between American-English and British and location features were implemented to recognise where a user was, so the site could automatically be set to the relevant language. This created an improved user experience.

THE RESULTS:

Moore-Wilson successfully created a modern, dynamic website and brand.

The site has a slick design and an emphasis on providing multilingual content for improved user journey throughout the site. It has an advanced search tool, which makes finding content easy and intuitive for the user.

Due to the success of the project and ongoing relationship, Moore-Wilson is now assisting Womble Bond Dickinson with other digital projects.
