Over the next 30 years, Peabody is set to deliver over £1 billion of significant improvements to housing, green spaces, waterways and economic prosperity in Thamesmead.
The Peabody Group was looking to update the Thamesmead website to coincide with the celebration of the town’s 50th anniversary. With the Thamesmead community at the heart of the project, Peabody wanted a dynamic and vibrant design to match the brighter future they are striving to build. What’s more, they wanted a hub where residents old and young could view the latest event and stay up to date with the local news. Being a client of Moore-Wilson for many years, Peabody knew that they could rely on us to meet the deadline for their launch date and produce a design befitting of the occasion.
Knowing that Peabody was happy with the functionality and content management of their existing system, Umbraco 7, the Moore-Wilson design team were able to focus solely on the look and feel of the rebuild. The use of bright colours and change of layout mean that the site is now easier than ever to navigate and stay up to date with the latest developments within the community. We also built two timelines adorned with key moments that celebrate the history of the town and demonstrate the direction in which it’s moving.
With the client so engaged and invested in the project, the overall process ran brilliantly, and we were able to deliver the site in good time for the planned launch date and event. We’re very pleased to announce that we’ll be continuing to contribute to this wonderful project as Peabody look to bring a whole host of new sections and functionality to the site.
