Branding and packaging for body sensor networks

Requirements:

Sensixa Limited is a spin-off company from the Hamlyn Centre, Imperial College London. It was established for commercialising the pervasive sensing research at the Hamlyn Centre. Focusing on wearable and implantable sensing technologies, Sensixa aims to develop novel technological solutions for healthcare, wellbeing, sports and gaming applications.

Sensixa initially required packaging and an instruction manual for the e-AR sensor and separate packaging for a PCB chipset. Additional collateral followed including a website, app graphics, plus exhibition stands and hand out material.

 

Solution:

The e-AR sensor packaging consisted of a bespoke die-cut foam block which held the sensor, charge stand and USB cable. The instruction booklet was designed in the shape of the charging stand, and all elements were housed in a transparent acetate sleeve which was printed black on the inside with a window to show the product.

The PCB chipset was housed in a bespoke aluminium case with the logo and branding graphics de-bossed the lid.

For the additional graphics, dynamic photomontage images were created to cover the various fields the sensor is used in Sports science, lifestyle & well-being and rehabilitation & chronic disease.
