2020 Innovation

New platform for leading provider of training, resources and support to 25% of UK accountancy firms

For more than 20 years, 20:20 Innovation have been helping UK accounting practices grow and prosper. They support over 1,000 member firms through an extensive training programme, including technical webinars, practice development guidance and business advice, all designed to boost the success of their members.

THE BRIEF:

The 20:20 Innovation website is key to their business operations, so they were looking for an agency with the necessary experience to design and build a complex, yet visually appealing solution.

20:20 Innovation were looking for a brand new platform to replace their existing website built in WordPress, which was suffering from an aging interface and also various technical issues which were affecting both the Content Management System and performance of the site. Understandably, this was a business-critical decision for the client, so there was an intensive tendering process.

Moore-Wilson was eventually selected because of our extensive experience building complex membership systems, with multiple integration points and our strong track-record of growing stable an d trusted long-term relationships with our clients.

Part of the brief was also to remedy issues with the existing website and to continue to support and update it throughout the build process of the new website.

THE PROJECT:

We worked closely with 20:20 Innovation across the entire project lifecycle, to ensure the website was successfully delivered and within budget.

The scoping process for the new site included a number of meetings with key stakeholders, as well as a thorough review of all existing material, including wire framing that had been produced in advance of the project commencing. Once this process was concluded and the functional specification document has been approved by 20:20 Innovation we moved onto the design, build and testing phases.

The chosen solution was built using a combination of Craft CMS for the site content and Laravel to deal with the more complex membership and e-commerce elements. The design process was underpinned by a new logo and summary guidelines which we expanded upon when applying the brand to the many different page templates that were required.

Due to the critical nature of the website, an intensive period of internal and external testing was included as part of the overall project plan.

Key elements of the project included:

  • New site design, including heavily revised end user experience
  • Full rebuild of the website in Craft (content management) and Laravel (e-commerce & membership functionality)
  • Optimised to work equally across mobile, tablet and desktop platforms.
  • Automated import of all existing webinars
  • Integrations with Keap, Vimeo, Xero and Stripe
  • Personalised members dashboard, including upcoming events and subscriptions
  • Custom learning management system including individual and group bookings and management of team learning by administrators and training co-ordinators
  • Detailed attendance information, including CPD tracking.
  • A robust and reliable hosting solution
