mobile application provides solution for migrant workers

The Association of Labour Providers (ALP) is the specialist trade association for organisations that provide and use temporary workers within the GLA regulated sectors.

The ALP were looking to promote a better way to pay migrant workers in the UK. Currently, many workers get paid by cheque. They then pay to get this cashed, and then they pay again to transfer money back to their home countries.

To solve these issues the ALP were keen to promote payment to a card. However, it was not clear how a typical migrant would then be able to manage their money as few of them have easy access to the internet.

We were able to provide the right solution through our Mobile-Tribe software. Our system works through a Java application or WAP over a mobile phone. The application allows the users to check their balance, view transactions, transfer money, and also search for new jobs that their employer is looking to fill.
