After a major tendering process the Physiological Society selected us to define and implement their new digital strategy. We conducted initial interviews and focus group sessions to help us to identify the most logical Information Architecture and useful functionality for the site. It was important to think of the different types of visitors and develop tailored user journeys and content relevant to each of these groups.
We integrated the site with the iMIS CRM system, which authenticates users when logging in and enables members to update a range of personal details within the site. This helps to create a personalised experience for users who are logged in, as content is listed based on their preferences, and events are displayed based on their proximity to the user.
We continue to refine and update the site, which was launched at the end of 2011. Recent development has included a system to allow real time collaborative editing for members, a useful tool to encourage increased and on-going interaction between members working on shared subjects of interest.
